ScienceOpen adheres to the Best Practice Guidelines laid out by COPE, the Committee on Publication Ethics.
Complaints relating to author/article attribution, display of content on the ScienceOpen platform, or website functionality should be addressed here.
Publication Ethics
At ScienceOpen we believe that high ethical standards in publishing are essential and we look to the scientific community to point out any and all concerns about misconduct in regard to authorship, plagiarism, manipulation of data/figures, competing interests and compliance with policies on research ethics. We thoroughly investigate all allegations of misconduct at ScienceOpen, and reserve the right to contact authors, institutions or regulatory bodies if such action is required. If conclusive evidence of misconduct is found, steps will be taken to formally correct the scientific record. More extensive resources are available here: COPE, WAME. Any concerns should be addressed to the Editorial Office.
Public Discussion Policies
ScienceOpen depends on the scientific community to inform us of any inappropriate comments or reviews. Please inform the ScienceOpen staff if you encounter any inappropriate comments on the website.
Editors may intervene at any point, including the removal of content from the site, should there be any concern about a misuse of reviewing and commenting tools.
